‘Sanctuary’ evokes a sense of serenity and calm,  while inviting the viewer to wonder what lies behind the curving walls and floral ironwork.  Perhaps  a gateway to an inner world of protection, comfort, and spiritual solace?

The source was an image of a gate to the courtyard of an episcopal church that was taken on a summer day, and I had no idea that the final image would become one of my favorites.
