‘Sanctuary’ evokes a sense of serenity and calm, as well potential discovery that invites the viewer to wonder what lies behind the curving walls and floral ironwork. The source image is a gate to the courtyard of an episcopal church, and I had no idea that the final image would become one of my favorites.
