Mandala was created from a photo of an atrium in a museum in Washington DC. Beyond the pattern created by the arching support structures, the thing that strikes me is that the buildings in the distance, look like terrified robots, if you tilt your head a bit to the side.

This brightly yellow pattern was created from an art deco style light that was illuminating the driveway of Grand Central terminal in Los Angeles. When it came together, it was reminiscent of a superhero logo, or some type of futuristic wall sconce floating in the air.
